The Role

We are seeking a UX/UI Designer who is excited to help build a design & development company with strong ethics and take lead in the design process, creating amazing user experiences, flawless interfaces, and stunning visuals. You will combine interfaces and workflows to design client software and platforms that are clean and artful and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts. A successful candidate should be an analytical and creative designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems. We also expect you to have a strong portfolio of successful UX and other technical projects. We currently offer opportunities for full-time, part-time, contract-to-hire, and contract positions.

Responsibilities Include

  • Ability to create wireframes/visual mockups for clients with respects to branding guidelines
  • Work together with product management and engineering to build innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
  • Participate in all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
  • Develop original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
  • Prepare wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Discuss designs and key milestone deliverables with the team and clients
  • Set design guidelines, best practices and standards
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies

Experience with any of the following

  • Visual Design & Wireframing tools (Sketch, Figma, Marvel, InVision, etc.)
  • HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
  • Adobe XD
  • Photoshop
  • Illustrator
  • Zeplin

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with skills outside of UI/UX design (e.g. design thinking, frontend development, data analytics, startup experience, etc.)
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
  • Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Experience performing user research and evaluating user feedback
  • Enjoy working in teams, but can take the lead and work independently
  • Desire to learn new skills and understand different business functions
  • Passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, and positive impact

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary between $80K - $100K DOE
